Concepts, aircrew equipment and courses
In its concepts role, the service coordinates PR training foundations with Joint Operations Command, Air Force staff and other partners. It aligns course content with international standards and coordinates it within the Armed Forces.
In its equipment role, it helps select and introduce equipment for flying crews. This includes helmets, survival items and footwear.
Its courses prepare aircrew for the situation following a crash, ejection or technical emergency landing: shelter, water and food, leaving the operating area and recovery. Technical survival tasks and conduct under threat form part of the training.
